Staycations Kenya Payment Services is Staycations Kenya ’s payment platform that deals with collecting payments and making payouts. Staycations Kenya Payment Services is made with security in mind. We ensure that our guests and hosts can transact on Staycations Kenya with absolute peace of mind.
- Eligibility
Staycations Kenya Payment Services is open to adults of legal age. Guests need to be 18 years or older. While adding your payment details on Staycations Kenya, we will ask for customary billing details to capture your details accurately. The typical information requested includes: your residential address, name on account, account type, routing number, account number, email address, payout currency and identification number.
- Third Party Payment Processsing
Staycations Kenya is not a payment processing entity, as a result, we use a third-party provider to protect both Staycations Kenya and yourself. Staycations Kenya uses iPay Africa to handle all payments. Payments can be made via debit card, credit card or M-PESA. Kindly note that the third-party payment provider may levy fees and charges on transactions depending on your payment method. Staycations Kenya is not responsible or liable for these fees or payments.
- 3. Staycations Kenya Payment Services – Hosts Terms
To receive a payout from Staycations Kenya, you must have a valid payout method linked to your Staycations Kenya account. Payments will usually be initiated to your account after guest check-in within 24 hours before close of business on the next day.
ii. Kindly note that the time it takes to receive payouts is dependent on your payout method and the payout method’s processing schedule.
iii. Your final payout will be the Listing Fees exclusive of the Host Fees 3%.
- In case a guest cancels a confirmed booking, Staycations Kenya will remit a payout of any portion of the Total Fees owed to you under our cancellation policy.
- In special circumstances, we will limit the amount being paid out. In such a case, Staycations Kenya will make your payout in a series of transactions until you get a full payout amount.
- In case a guest raises a valid Travel Issue, note that this claims will override the stipulated cancellation policies. If you feel aggrieved provide evidence including photographs to show your side of the story. Make efforts to resolve a Travel Issue unless Staycations Kenya advises otherwise either because the situation has become untenable or the guest has already been refunded or the guest has left the accommodation.
iii. In case you suffer a Travel Issue, Staycations Kenya will either refund your full amount or find an alternative short-term rental with similar or better amenities. The decision for a refund or re-book is entirely at the discretion of Staycations Kenya and will be arrived at after considering the individual case. A Travel Issue is considered when:
- The host cancels your booking before the start of the booking
b. The host fails to provide the guest with a means to access the space or short-term rental
c. The listing’s description is unclear or misleading in regard to the size of the accommodation, the number of people allowed or present within the accommodation, special amenities highlighted are not present or functioning, or the physical location is inaccurate.
d. A Travel Issue will also include situations where the bedding is dirty or unsanitary, the space presents unsafe or hazardous situations or there is vermin.
